Why ghost tours?
| Stand in a narrow cobblestone alley and listen to the tale of desparate duelers, envision the scene unfolding before you in your mind..or, is it really unfolding before your eyes?? Search the windows of an abandoned building where others have seen the faces of orphans, killed in a fire, or a "white lady," who committed suicide due to a broken heart. Snap your own pictures; will there be more there when you develop them than you saw before? Even if you're skeptical about the existance of ghosts or spirits, suspend your belief for a little while. There is no better way to learn about a city than to hear the popular ghost stories of its culture. Stories of ghosts can be spooky, or humerous. They can tell of people who loved a place so much they wouldn't leave it, or who hated someone or something so much they couldn't leave it. They may be ordinary people only famous for being ghosts, or they may be individuals who walk the pages of history. Either way, whether you actually encounter them in spirit form or not, they will live again in your imagination when you stand where they stood, see what they saw, and hear their stories told by skillful guides. So, choose your state or country and click on a link, or pick a book and acquaint yourself with what you can expect to see and hear on a tour. Enjoy the site, and keep coming back, as we add more. Read the free newsletter, and get ready for adventure! | |
